Where to get a good idea: Steal it outside your group

Today's topic comes courtesy of a New York Times article by the same name.

"People who live in the intersection of social worlds are at higher risk of having good ideas."

This thought comes from Ronald S. Burt, a sociologist at the University of Chicago. The people he is describing are those who have social networks that extend beyond their own parochial interests.
